iGrow laser helmet
The iGrow laser helmet features 51 light sources, 21 laser diodes and 30 LED lights, each at 5mW and a 655nm wavelength. It provides full scalp coverage. The output from iGrow is equivalent to most in-office clinical hair lasers.
iGrow addresses the limitations and inconsistencies of other low level laser therapy devices by incorporating the same scientifically proven, Harvard Medical School-documented low level laser therapy technology that is found in the Revage670. The Revage670 has been used by more than 500 doctors in over 25 countries to effectively rejuvenate shedding and thinning hair. With the iGrow, consumers have access to the very same technology in the comfort of their own homes and at a fraction of the cost.
The iGrow is simple and convenient to use. Just place it on your head and start the treatment. The iGrow remote is loaded with five pre–set regimes that provides treatment programs for both men and women. The iGrow was designed with folding headphones to be compact for packing when traveling. You can also enjoy your music and more through iGrow's integrated headphones. The comfortable earphones can be adjusted to find the perfect fit.
For best results, the iGrow should be used 3-4 times per week on non-consecutive days. With regular use of iGrow, individuals can expect to see a gradual improvement in hair condition within a 12-week period. Consistent use provides optimum results.
The positive effect of Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) on hair growth has been established in many independent studies. LLLT is effective against hair loss because the light allows for an increase in ATP (an important fuel for cells) in the cells on a molecular level. Additionally, the red laser light ensures for improved blood circulation, allowing the hair follicles to receive more oxygen and nutrients and preventing the damaging DHT molecules to adhere to the hair roots.
Due to the improved blood circulation and energy management, the hairs become healthier and will grow quicker and thicker. Inactive hair follicles may once again become active. In places with little hair growth, longer and more voluminous hair may start growing.
Laser therapy also helps to make a hair transplant more successful. The healing process will be quicker and better. Moreover, the quality of the hair will be better than without an after treatment.
Apira Science has conducted separate clinical studies for both men and women to verify the iGrow Hair Growth System. The active group received a unit containing 21,5 mW lasers (655 +/- 5 nm) and 30 LEDS (655 +/- 20 nm), in a bicycle-helmet like apparatus. The placebo group unit appeared identical, containing incandescent red lights. Patients treated at home every other day for 16 weeks. The primary endpoint was the percent increase in hair counts from baseline. After 16 weeks, a 35% percent increase in hair growth was shown among men. Among women, there was a 37% increase in hair growth. In the published abstracts, you can read all the details about women's clinical study and men's clinical study.
The iGrow laserhelmet is FDA approved for promoting hair growth.
Directions for usage
Place the iGrow on your head, select one of 5 pre-programmed sessions and the session will start. The session will stop automatically when the 20-25 minute treatment session is finished.

Within 12 weeks of using the iGrow laserhelm as directed, most consumers report that they experience the cessation of excess hair loss. The appearance of thicker, fuller, healthier hair is typical within 24 weeks. According to Lorrie Klein, MD, “The average patient using iGrow will first begin to see decreased hair loss in about six to eight weeks. Then, within a few short months, their hair should begin looking thicker, fuller and healthier. Frequently asked questions
About the iGrow laser helmet
I just noticed my hair is beginning to thin. Is it too soon to start LLLT sessions?
The iGrow is intended to be used by men and women who are afflicted with androgenetic alopecia. LLLT hair treatment should be incorporated into your weekly preventative maintenance routine to preserve and strengthen existing hair and provide a healthy environment for continued growth.
I am completely bald and want to use iGrow. Will it work for me?
The iGrow is not recommended for those with severe hair loss.
When will I know if iGrow is working for me?
Every person is different. However, within 12 to 16 weeks of using iGrow as directed, most users report that they can see a positive change. The appearance of thicker, fuller, and healthier looking hair is typical within 24 weeks, or 6 months of LLLT.
If 3-4x a week has good results, will more frequent sessions yield a better result?
There is no evidence that increased Low Level Light Therapy (LLLT) will provide better results. LLLT should only be used as prescribed. Each LLLT session should be followed by a period of rest. This translates into alternating session days.
How long will I need to continue LLLT sessions?
Hair loss is a progressive condition. If untreated, you can expect to lose more hair over time. After the initial 4 to 6 month LLLT treatment period, you should continue sessions once or twice per week to maintain your hair quality.
Is the iGrow fully automated?
The iGrow requires no manual movement. Simply, place the iGrow on your head, select one of 5 pre programmed sessions and then sit back and relax.
