Neofollics hair growth stimulating lotion
The Neofollics hair growth stimulating lotion provides a targeted treatment for hair loss and hereditary hair loss and is suitable for both men and women. The lotion stimulates new hair growth and combats hair loss. It also helps create thicker and fuller hair.
The lotion contains a high concentration of 11 proven active ingredients. The effectiveness of the ingredients in this combination has also been demonstrated in a clinical study. In addition to being effective, the lotion is pleasant to use and gentle on the skin.
The Neofollics lotion contains 6 powerful plant extracts, 3 biotechnological hair growth molecules and 2 absorption enhancers. Each active ingredient has been selected based on scientific research to combat hair loss in multiple ways.
Hair growth molecules
The lotion contains the hair growth molecules Adenosine, Vividine® and Aminexil®. These molecules have a similar effect as Minoxidil, but without the side effects.
- Vividine: stimulates hair growth in multiple ways. Vividine allows for potassium channel opening (PCO), just like Minoxidil. This causes the hair to enter the growth phase quicker and for the growth phase to last longer. Vividine also stimulates the blood supply to the hair follicles, allowing nutrients to reach the follicles more easily.
- Aminexil: prevents hardening of collagen around the hair root, making the hair roots anchor themselves more firmly into the scalp, thus reducing hair loss.
- Adenosine: studies show that applying a solution of Adenosine on the scalp can allow for improved hair growth in both men and women. Compared to Minoxidil, users are more satisfied using Adenosine in the prevention of hair loss. And unlike Minoxidil, Adenosine does not have any side effects.
The plant extracts in the lotion have a positive effect on hair growth in multiple ways. An important mechanism of action is the inhibition of di-hydro-testosterone (DHT). The conversion of testosterone into di-hydro-testosterone (DHT) is a major cause of (hereditary) hair loss. DHT damages the hair follicles that are sensitive to DHT, causing them to produce fewer and thinner hairs.
- Ecklonia cava: a seaweed from the waters of South Korea. Ecklonia cava is a natural alternative to finasteride and minoxidil. It contains a high concentration of the substance Dieckol, which has a DHT lowering effect and a high concentration of Dioxinodehydroeckol, which stimulates hair growth. Read more in our article Ecklonia cava: a natural alternative to finasteride and minoxidil.
- Raspberry ketone: an extract from raspberry. Raspberry ketone can increase the production of IGF-1 (an insulin-like growth factor), which stimulates the growth of the hair follicle. Studies show that a very low concentration of this substance already has a significant effect on hair growth. Read more about Raspberry ketone.
- Carthamus tinctorius: a thistle-like plant. Carthamus tinctorius stimulates hair growth in different ways and suppresses growth factor B-1, a peptide which is associated with hair loss.
- Sanguisorba officinalis: a plant that belongs to the rose family. Sanguisorba officinalis stimulates hair growth by prolonging the growth phase of the hair follicles. It suppresses Fibroblast Growth Factor-5 (FGF-5), a natural protein that plays a role in the (too rapid) transition of the hair from the anagen to the telogen phase.
- Proanthocyanidin B2 (Grape seed extract): a polyphenol from grape seeds. It allows for extending the growth phase, which provides for longer hair, and a higher density of the hair.
- EGCG (Epigallocatechin gallate): a polyphenol from Green Tea. EGCG inhibits the process of 5a-reductase. This makes it a natural DHT inhibitor that stimulates hair growth.
Effective absorption into the scalp
Hyaluronic acid and Liposomes ensure that the lotion can easily be absorbed into the scalp, so that active substances can reach the hair follicles and do their work.
- Hyaluronic acid: an endogenous substance that falls into the category of glucose building blocks. It improves the absorption of lotion in the scalp.
- Liposomes: incorporate active substances in nano-capsules, so that these can be more easily transported to the hair follicles.
Mild and pleasant to use
Because a lotion is applied directly to the scalp and left to soak in, a lotion is a very effective treatment against hair loss. The use of a lotion requires a little more work and dedication than for example a shampoo. Therefore it is important that a lotion is as easy and pleasant to use as possible and of course gentle for the scalp.
The Neofollics lotion has been dermatologically tested and does not contain any colorings, fragrances, propylene glycol, parabens etc. Any possible irritation or sensitization of the scalp is thereby reduced to a minimum.
The lotion is quickly absorbed, not greasy and leaves no residue. Moreover, the bottle has a good quality sprayer that simplifies application. The large bottle of 100 ml contains enough lotion to be able to make use of for a month.
Neofollics lotion was clinically tested and evaluated according to the same scientific methods that were used for the evaluation of Finasteride and Minoxidil. Test subjects with Alopecia Androgenetica used the Neofollics lotion for 3 months. They applied the lotion as recommended, twice a day. 75% of the test subjects experienced an increase in hair growth. And for 76% there was a reduction of hair loss. The combined effect was observed in 59% of the users: both a stimulation of hair growth and a reduction of hair loss. In total, 92% of the users saw an improvement. Only 8% did not experience a visible effect.
Directions for usage
Apply the recommended amount of lotion to the scalp where the hair is thinning:
Crown: 3 sprays
Top: 3 sprays
Temples: each 2 sprays
Rub the lotion in and let it soak. Do not wash the hair within 3 hours after the treatment. Use of styling products is possible after the lotion soaked in.
Perform the treatment twice a day for best results, preferably in the morning and in the evening.
After use, place the cap back on the nozzle.
With a lotion, it is important to apply it generously to compensate for the 'loss' of lotion in the hairs. With the bottle of 100 ml you will have enough lotion for at least one month and to use it royally.
After three months, the first effects can be observed. The hair loss should be decreased and new hairs are starting to grow back stronger and thicker. The effect will be stronger during the course of 6 to 12 months. Continue the treatment in order to maintain the results.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use Neofollics lotion in combination with my current lotion?
The lotion can be combined with other lotions for hair growth, for example by using one in the morning and the other in the evening. It is not recommended to apply both lotions at the same time.
I want to start using this lotion. Can I immediately switch from my current lotion to Neofollics lotion?
If you are currently using a lotion and you are looking to switch to Neofollics lotion, we advise you to first use both lotions for 2 weeks. For example by using Neofollics lotion in the morning and a Spectral lotion in the evening. After these 2 weeks, your skin will have gotten used to it and you can start using the Neofollics lotion twice a day.
Will this lotion last longer, because it's 100 ml instead of 60 ml?
Most lotions contain 60 ml, enough for one month. Applying a lotion generously can give a more powerful effect. This is why Neofollics opted to use a larger amount per bottle for maximum results. How long a lotion lasts mostly depends on the area that requires treatment. If you only treat your temples or crown, a bottle will last you longer than 2 months.
What other products can I combine Neofollics lotion with?
Neofollics lotion combines well with other products against hair loss, such as a shampoo. In order to adjust the treatments to one another as well as possible when it comes to active ingredients, we recommend combining the products from the Neofollics range. Here is what we recommend at different stages of hair loss.
- The use of styling products is possible after the lotion has been absorbed into the scalp
- Do not wash hair within 3 hours after application
- Wash hands after use
- Store at room temperature
- Keep out of reach of children
- For adult use only
- Should not be used by pregnant or breast-feeding women
- Avoid contact with the eyes

Since I'm on all three, it is kinda difficult for me to say whether the lotion is effective or not, but I'll keep using it for now. I'll post here again if I notice more improvements.
Linny, Sweden (23 June 2017)The Hair Growth Specialist:
The usage advice of Neofollics lotion is 2 times a day. When you use the lotion 1x a day, you only spend half the dose. The effectiveness of the lotion is based, and tested, on the application of the full dose, and this is achieved by applying the lotion 2 times a day. By applying the lotion 1 time a day, the effectiveness may halve, but it may also be that (certain) ingredients are not effective at all because of the too low dose.
My name is Wim, I am a man of 49 and use Neofollics lotion now approximately 3 months in combination with the Neofollics shampoo. The lotion feels good and I noticed after a few weeks that my hair fell out less, felt thicker and is easier to style.
I am very satisfied and will continue to use this combination in the future.
Wim, Nederland (19 March 2017) about Neofollics lotion (NL)
I (man, 30) use this product now for about 9 months and unfortunately it has not brought the results that I had hoped for. I also use the shampoo from the Neofollics range and with products I had hoped that hair would grow back on my temples. Maybe my expectations were too high. Now I am very curious whether the combination with Neofollics tablet might bring more success to me.
Sander, Den Haag (19 March 2017) about Neofollics lotion (NL)
Prevents further hair loss on the crown, but I don't notice new hair growth in both temples until now. Perhaps this will come? Currently, only 3 months in use.
J.P., Bleiswijk (7 March 2017) about Neofollics lotion (NL)The Hair Growth Specialist:
A hair treatment does indeed need some more time. After about three months you will begin to see the first effects, such as less hair loss. The full effect often shows after a year. Regrowth is more difficult to achieve than the inhibition of hair loss, in addition, it may take a while before new hair will grow and becomes visible. Furthermore, regrowth of hair on the temples is more complicated than regrowth on the crown. It could also be that your hair growth treatment is not powerful enough to counteract the process of hair loss sufficiently. You can always ask us for a personal advice.
Hi, I recently started with the lotion, so very curious about the result.. I read in previous posts about the fact that the sprayer could clog, I also experienced this, I have found something that works very well and would like to share that so others can benefit. I have a small cap (eg from a soda bottle) filled with water and when I used the lotion I put the lotion bottle flat and with the end of the "sprayer"in the water of the cap. This way the spray tip (with the residue of lotion) has no chance to be clogged, and so he continues to work really perfectly!
joris, uden (6 February 2017) about Neofollics lotion (NL)The Hair Growth Specialist:
Thanks for sharing this tip! In principle, the lotion should not become hard when you press the small cap back on the spray tip after using the lotion. But should this happen, then your tip is very useful.
I've been using the products of Neofollics for some time now, both the shampoo and the hair tablets. I am now in menopause, so I have androgenetic alopecia, this means that DHT is the cause. My rating for the lotion is good, pleasant to use. I think it helps me, and have had not hair loss anymore. The shampoo makes my hair somewhat greasy, which I find a downside.
I am very satisfied with these products until now.
Marjolein, Amsterdam (3 February 2017) about Neofollics lotion (NL)The Hair Growth Specialist:
With regard to the shampoo, it is important to wash the hair, when for example it is greasy or you used styling products, first with a shampoo in order to remove the first impurities. Because the shampoo does not contain SLS, the shampoo degreases the hair less than normal shampoos. So when you wash your hair twice, the hair is cleaned very well and the hair will become less greasy.
Until September 2016 I used Minoxidil with the known painful consequences (rash + burning scalp). I use lotion Neofolics lotion now for about 2.5 months. In combination with Revita shampoo and Foligain tablets. I do not suffer from skin irritations at all anymore. My hair loss is approximately halved. Before using the lotion I lost about 15-20 hairs. Currently I lose about 5-10 hairs.
The lotion is pleasant to use and dries fairly quickly.
However, my hair seems to dry out a bit. After washing my hair, I use the Biotin Conditioner by Regenepure since this week to make my hair stronger.
Stefaan, Liedekerke ( Vl ) (9 December 2016) about Neofollics lotion (NL)
Love the texture and bottle. None greasy, fast and easy absorption. Easy application with pump spray bottle. It seems to work as described with little to no hair loss!
Rob , Bratislava (22 November 2016)
CH, Norway (18 November 2016)
I have previously written a review when I had used the lotion 4 weeks. I use the Neofollics Lotion now for 3 months in combination with the Foligain tablets and since a month Regenepure DR too. I can say that the lotion works well near the inlets and hairline. I clearly see regrowth.
On top of my head I see no regrowth, unfortunately. Also, my hair loss has increased. Possibly it is the phenomenon shedding (as it exists)? I have the impression that the hair is slowly decreasing. I'll continue to use the lotion (and the rest of the regime). I hope it is even more improved in 3 months from now.
Oase, Rotterdam (26 September 2016) about Neofollics lotion (NL)
Hair loss has certainly decreased. Not sure how long the effects will last, since I've been using it for a few months now as an alternative to minoxidil.
My hair does seem to slowly become thinner but it's a very slow process.
Chris, Dubai (23 September 2016)
I am a woman of 54 with colored hair (due to uneven gray hair of my own). Around 3/4 years ago the hair loss began and I got an itchy scalp. Since then I tried everything. The combination Revita shampoo, conditioner, Spectral.CSF and Neofollics tablets got the hair loss under control and the itching disappeared completely. You also clearly saw the new hair growth. Cons: my hair was very dry and the Spectral.CSF left visible white pieces behind. Therefore I switched to Neofollics shampoo, lotion along with the Regenepure Biotin conditioner. My hair looked better immediately and I didn't have any white residu in my hair. But unfortunately the hair loss is back. So therefore switched to something else.
Mariska, Nederland (16 September 2016) about Neofollics lotion (NL)
Liger, Cyprus (7 September 2016)
I am a woman of 60 years old and suffered from increased hair loss during menopause. I used minoxidil for six months first but it gave me itching and flaking and my hair kept falling out very badly and even more severely.
I now use the third bottle of Neofollics Lotion (once or twice a day), the hair loss stopped and I clearly have new hair growth, especially visible at the front and temples. And so far no reaction from my scalp, the lotion leaves no traces on my grey-white hair. It does have a slightly drying effect of the hair, but it also makes it firmer. I also use the shampoo and 2 Neofollics tablets per day. The pumps did not clog until now.
So I'm very pleased so far.
Gebruiker, Nederland (7 Augustus 2016) about Neofollics lotion (NL)
I am a 38 year old woman. For 20 years I suffer from extreme hair loss. I use the lotion for 4 weeks now. Just received two bottles. I find the lotion very easy to use, it absorbs quickly, I don't mind the brown color. No side effects at all (which I had when using Minoxidil). My hair loss has not been reduced but I really feel that I have new hair growth. Especially in my inlets and front. But I'm not quite sure. Maybe my eyes see what they want to see. I try to hold on for five months.
Oase, Rotterdam (20 July 2016) about Neofollics lotion (NL)
I have ordered my second set. I don't know if there are already hairs growing back. I do have the impression that the hair loss has almost stopped.
Unfortunately, the lotion once again has a brown color. Very unpleasant view.
Superket, Middelkerke (13 July 2016) about Neofollics lotion (NL)The Hair Growth Specialist:
This lotion contains many natural ingredients that give the lotion a beige color. This color is similar to the color of the scalp. The lotion absorbs quickly and leaves no residue, making the color of the lotion no longer plays a role.
I use the lotion for almost 5 months now and I notice that my hair loss has stopped and growth of small hairs on the crown.
I use the lotion in combination with the shampoo (every day) and from 3 months I also take the tablets.
There is hope again.
Tim, Sneek (8 July 2016) about Neofollics lotion (NL)
I use the lotion for 5 weeks now. I notice no reduction in hair loss, maybe this will come. It's a fine lotion. A disadvantage is that the pump is constantly blocked, which makes that the lotion does not come out very well. Perhaps the manufacturer can do something about this.
P, Nederland (29 June 2016) about Neofollics lotion (NL)The Hair Growth Specialist:
The risk of clogging of the sprayer is indeed present because there is a lot of natural ingredients in the lotion of which the tiny ingredients may lead to clogging. It is therefore advisable to regularly flush the pump with warm water. Moreover, it is important to place the cap on the spray mouth after use of the lotion. If this does not help, we can send a new sprayer. Send us an email or ask for an extra sprayer when you place a new order.
After three months of intensive use of the lotion my hair loss completely stopped! I can only say that I am very satisfied with the results so far! The lotion is thicker than other lotions but is easily absorbed in the scalp. Once I had a clogged sprayer, but the Hair Growth Specialist provided me with a replacement sprayer
Julien, Utrecht (21 June 2016) about Neofollics lotion (NL)
Good service and good results.
S, Hoofddorp (17 June 2016) about Neofollics lotion (NL)
Pleasant to use, non-greasy and absorbs quickly. I can;t say anything about the results yet, since I use it for three weeks now and used half of the bottle.
